The DSM uses GSN to set out safety case claims and assign evidence that supports those claims – this is key to providing clarity for effective assessment by regulators. It provides a single point of truth for all safety case information. A change in a safety case element is automatically changed in that element wherever it is used.

Safety Management requires strict configuration and file management processes. The DSM stores your safety cases as plain files rather than on a data base. This facilitates easy storage in file-based repositories, such as Huddle, High Q and Microsoft SharePoint, providing easy integration with your existing configuration management tools and processes.
Delivers flexible and rapid reporting
Safety cases, risks or hazard logs require the generation of reports on a regular basis. Formats vary for different organizations and the DSM has the flexibility to create and save reports in any required format. Using queries to gather the required information and with the ability to add diagrams and matrix tables into Microsoft Word or HTML, reports are easy to build and can be created in their own right or added to a larger document.
Rapid Production and distribution of key safety case entities
The DSM has the capability to clone diagrams, queries, matrices and reports to reduce building time. These entities can be exported from one model to another to provide conformity and uniformity. DSM packages support the development of modular safety cases allowing the export and import of sub-system safety cases.
Integration with other MBSE tools
Integrating with other Model based System Engineering (MBSE) through URLs and Microsoft Excel, the DSM is not a stand-alone system and has been designed to work alongside other MBSE. Hazard and risk data can be imported directly into their own DSM entities.
