Safety management requires strict configuration and file management processes. Auditors must be able to follow the development of a safety case, hazard log or control register from conception to the current day.
The DSM stores its models as plain files rather than in a data base because:
Models can be easily stored in file-based repositories, such as Huddle, High Q, Git and Microsoft SharePoint. providing easy integration with your existing configuration management tools and processes.
A complete version control system is a complex product in its own right, but we want to concentrate on providing a good safety case management tool. So rather than try to implement a custom version control system inside the DSM we make it easy to store DSM models in your existing system.
You can exchange files with contributors and collaborators.
Note: In the future the DSM will be able to compare different versions of a safety case and highlight the differences between the two.
